Dumfries & Galloway Home Energy Assistance Scheme

Funding has been provided by Dumfries & Galloway Council to create a home visit service for vulnerable households.

Our dedicated home visit service provides the following services to qualifying  householders –

  • Assesses the home to identify energy improvements
  • Funding available for measures including
    • Draught proofing
    • Upgrading heating controls 
    • LED Lighting
    • Loft Insulation
    • Cavity Wall Insulation
    • Heating upgrades
  • Referrals to other grant funded schemes
  • Energy advice
  • Assistance with application forms
  • Assistance and information on heating settings and controls
  • Income Maximisation referral
  • Fuel Switching referral
  • Follow up visits

Who qualifies for a home visit?

  • Anyone in receipt of a benefit - this includes private homeowners, private tenants and social tenants OR
  • Anyone who spends more than 10% of their disposable income on fuel for heating and cooking
