Energy Supplier's Schemes
There are discounted prices for loft and cavity wall insulation available from Energy Utilities. Insulation may be installed free for those in receipt of certain benefits. Contact the Energy Agency for current offers.
Warm Deal Scheme
The Scottish Executive Warm Deal scheme offers a grant of up to £500 for installed insulation measures for those in receipt of a qualifying benefit. Click here for further details.
Heating
Scottish Executive Central Heating Programme
This scheme offers a full central heating system and package of insulation measures to over 60s who do not have a current central heating system or one which is broken beyond repair. Click here for further details.
Renewables
The Scottish Community & Householder Renewable Initiative (SCHRI) is funded by the Scottish Executive and provides grants for householders and communities to install renewable energy technologies.
The technologies eligible for household funding are:
Householders are entitled to grants of 30% of the installed cost ex-VAT, with a grant limit of £4,000. Two technologies per household.
