The launch of the Scottish Climate Declaration took place back on the 16th of January 2007.
Since then all Scottish Local Authorities have signed the declaration, and are now beginning to develop their individual action plans for the delivery of the commitments contained in the declaration.
The Energy Agency will be seeking to work with all their Local Authority partners through 2007/8 and provide support and assistance where and when required, with the aim of delivering Scotland’s Climate Change Declaration.
One resource many authorities are sure to make use of is the forthcoming “On-line toolkit” to develop Climate Change Action Plan, guiding them through the five stages to address both mitigation and adaptation.
For further information on the Climate Change Declaration and the On-line Toolkit, contact Energy Agency.
