A partnership of local groups and organisations, led by the Energy Agency, Ayrshire Climate Hub is one of a network of community hubs across the country.

Who we are

The Ayrshire Climate Hub is part of the Scottish Government’s new national network of Climate Hubs, which are designed to support community climate action on a regional basis. We celebrate and support a range of grassroots community activity across a diverse spectrum of climate action.

What we do

The focus of our hub is to:

  • Raise awareness of the climate emergency.
  • Map existing climate action activity.
  • Identify barriers to local climate action.
  • Undertake outreach and awareness raising work with groups not already engaged with climate work to enable them to participate now and in the future.
  • Support collaboration, networking, and peer to peer learning and support between community groups and organisations.
  • Respond to local and regional needs and initiatives with training, capacity building, and funding support.
  • Run locally embedded community climate action projects across the three local authorities in Ayrshire, that implement climate adaptation and mitigation activities.

Our Partnership

The hub is currently a partnership of 10 organisations from across Ayrshire & Arran, led by the Energy Agency. These partners are: Community Gift Exchange; Community Open Gardens Shortlees; Community Roots; Crag Community Arts; Cycle Station; Involv Productions; The Conservation Volunteers; Let’s Learn Outside Of the Classroom (LOOC) Ayrshire; Narture; Arran Eco-Savvy; Arran Pioneer Project; CEIS Ayrshire; New Cumnock Development Trust; The Killie Community; The Outdoor Partnership; Under Sky; Energy Agency.
