This project formed part of the Scottish Government funded Energy Efficient Scotland: Area Based
Schemes (EES:ABS). The project was delivered by the Energy Agency on behalf of South Ayrshire
Council.
Following a public procurement exercise, the Energy Agency employed insulation contractor, GMG
Contractors Ltd, to deliver the works. The works involved the installation of External Wall Insulation
(EWI) and Roofing on blocks of flats within the Kincaidston area of Ayr. This was a mixed tenure
programme comprising of 52 council and 26 privately owned properties.
